L’anno 2010 è quasi al termine ed un altra classifica importante viene stilata. E’ quella dei 100 migliori djs del mondo secondo il magazine online Resident Advisor, che se confrontato alla più famosa Dj Mag Top 100 mette in risalto la totale differenza nei risultati, premiando per la terza volta in cinque edizioni, Ricardo Villalobos.
La classifica Resident Advisor è però difficilmente paragonabile alla Dj Mag Top 100. RA è il magazine online è il più importante tra quelli esistenti sul web sopratutto per la scena techno ed elettronica più undeground. Anche la scelta di far votare solamente i suoi iscritti anzichè aprire a tutti è stato un segnale forte per non alterare i voti, già indirizzati su un certo stile musicale. Non è un caso che in cinque edizioni, Ricardo Villalobos abbia vinto per tre volte (non presente però nell’edizione 2010 di Dj Mag), seguito da Richie Hawtin e Michael Mayer.
La classifica ha inoltre premiato ben 3 italiani: Marco Carola (11 posizione), Donato Dozzy (41) e Davide Squillace (65), tutti protagonisti di un’annata stupenda, tra consolle e produzioni (basti pensare a Cubism, che è diventata il tormentone dell’estate 2010).
